STOCKHOLM BUS HUB
Cityterminalen, directly above Stockholm Central, is the coach heart of Sweden: FlixBus, Vy Bus4You and the airport Flygbussarna fleet all board from the same hall at Klarabergsviadukten 72.
Sweden’s largest bus terminal occupies the World Trade Center block at Klarabergsviadukten 72, joined by escalators to Central Station and the T-Centralen metro — the whole interchange is indoors, which matters in February. FlixBus, Vy Bus4You and the Norwegian expresses use numbered gates with screens and indoor seating; there are lockers, cafés and a staffed desk. The same building dispatches the Flygbussarna airport coaches.
Flygbussarna runs to Arlanda every twenty minutes at peak (45 minutes), plus services to Skavsta and Bromma. Long-distance: Gothenburg roughly every hour (about seven hours), Oslo five to six times daily (seven to eight hours), Copenhagen via the Öresund Bridge, and overnight runs to Kiruna and the ski resorts in season. FlixBus covers Berlin, Hamburg and the continental network. Book in the operators’ apps — SJ’s trains win on time to Gothenburg and Malmö, but advance coach fares are often half the rail price.
THE TIO READ
The rule at Cityterminalen is simple: rail for time, coach for money. Gothenburg by Vy Bus4You booked two weeks out undercuts SJ by half and arrives at Nils Ericson opposite the station anyway. Keep Flygbussarna for Arlanda only outside rush hour — inside it, the Arlanda Express train earns its fare.
