WARSAW WHO'S COMING
Warsaw closed 2025 as Poland’s most-visited city: 8.7 million tourists, 1.8 million of them foreign, riding a national record of 58.9 million overnight visitors and the return of the long-haul guest.
Poland’s 2025 tourism year was the strongest on record: 58.9 million guests in accommodation facilities (+11.6%), foreign arrivals at 15.2 million (+13.1%), and overnight growth of 7% — second in the EU. The map concentrated in the metropolises: Mazowieckie led all regions with 11 million visitors, and Warsaw took 8.7 million of them, ahead of Kraków’s 5.2 million and Gdańsk’s 2.9 million. Eight of the ten busiest counties grew.
The inbound mix runs on three engines: Germany as the largest source market, Ukraine on family, work and transit travel, and the UK–US long-haul pair — Britain alone traded over eight million air passengers with Poland in 2025. Warsaw’s own foreign count of 1.82 million understates the flow, since Chopin’s 24.1 million passengers feed Kraków and the Baltic as a transfer hub. Business travel anchors the midweek: Warsaw is the corporate capital of Central Europe’s biggest economy, and the weekend leisure rate is what the new lifestyle hotels are built to catch.
THE TIO READ
The crowd to plan around is not tourist-season leisure but the fair-calendar business wave: Warsaw prices spike on congress weeks, not in August. Come on a summer weekend and the capital is cheaper, emptier and entirely yours.
