01 — Scale built on the all-inclusive machine
The 2025 scoreboard: ~17M passengers through Antalya airport, Türkiye’s tourism revenue at a record $60B+ nationally, and the Antalya coast holding occupancy near 80% across a season that now runs April–November. The model’s genius is vertical integration: Turkish hotel groups own the resorts, the tour operators and increasingly the flights — letting them sell a five-star week with flights for what a room-only four-star costs in Mallorca. Source markets: Germany and Russia first, then UK, Poland and the Gulf.
02 — The coast, decoded
Belek is the polished core: gated resort compounds, championship golf, and the premium all-inclusive shelf — Maxx Royal, Rixos Premium, Gloria, Cullinan — where the $1,000 suites live. Side pairs the resort strip with a genuine Roman theatre and Apollo temple on the sand. Kemer trades beach width for drama: Taurus pines dropping to the sea, smaller upscale resorts. Alanya is the value king with the castle backdrop and the longest season. Kaleiçi, Antalya’s old town, and the Düden waterfalls give the city itself a real day-trip argument.
03 — The calendar
The season runs April–November, with July–August the family peak: 38°C, full resorts, top prices. The connoisseur’s windows are May–June and September–October — 28–32°C, warm sea, 20–30% below peak. Winter is golf-and-spa season in Belek at deep value: the resorts stay open, the crowds vanish, and the Taurus mountains carry snow in view of the pool.
04 — What it costs, honestly
The standard five-star all-inclusive week runs $250–400/night for two with everything — unmatched in the Med. The premium tier (Maxx Royal, Cullinan, Regnum Carya) asks $700–1,200 and delivers genuinely international luxury: villa sections, à la carte fine dining, real champagne. Belek golf packages and Alanya value resorts fill the ends. The lira’s slide makes on-the-ground spending — dining, shopping, hammams — strikingly cheap for hard-currency guests.
05 — The honest frictions
Volume atmosphere: the model runs on scale — pools are busy, buffets are vast, and July–August means company; the fix is the premium tier’s villa sections. Heat: midsummer is genuinely hot — plan pool-and-shade days. Currency swings: great for spending power, but they also mean quoted prices move. Seaweed/jellyfish occasionally affect specific bays. And the tier gap matters: a €300 five-star and a €900 five-star on this coast are different products wearing the same star count.
06 — Final outlook
Antalya has spent 30 years perfecting a machine that delivers more hotel for less money than anywhere in the Mediterranean — and 2025’s premium push shows the machine can move upmarket without breaking. Book May, June or late September; choose Belek’s premium compounds if luxury matters more than price; and let the lira do the tipping for you.
